Downtown Windsor Farmers Market reviews
Fairly small market but actual growers. Lots for produce along with a few unique items. Think there were About 40 vendors basically a L shaped market. A couple of our unique items were mushroom... more »
Very Small but at least someone is putting in the effort. Maybe give a few more years to grow before visiting. This would be the only reason to go downtown on a Saturday, more »
I previously rated this place slightly lower due to my first experience. The admin responded to my review and encouraged me to come back and try again. Since then, I have returned 3 times. My first review was on the hottest day of the summer. Many vendors didn't show up. Since returning, I've found everything I've been looking for. Fresher than the grocery store, no wax covering, etc. In many cases the things I'm buying are cheaper than at the grocery store as well. Whether it be fresh herbs, unique mushrooms, fresh fish, or cooked to order foods. I'm finding some of the best quality at the downtown market. The prices are fair, the products are fresh, and there's even live entertainment. After visiting the market 4 or 5 times now, I'm quite impressed and will be disappointed when they close for the winter. My first visit wasnt ideal, but I'm really glad the admin encouraged me to give it another try.
Wow, I've been hearing about the Downtown Windsor Farmer's Market for a long time, but have never been until today. What a cute little market! They close off Pelissier Street just north of Wyandotte and have many vendors out there. Several fresh produce stalls intermingle with baked goods, locally made food products and artisans. There is also entertainment and free crafts for the kids. What a nice addition to the downtown area. I can't wait to try the local raw honey I bought :-)
