Canada's southernmost city, Windsor continues to play a key role in the country's automotive industry.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Via Italia and Walkerville Artist Co-op. Step off the beaten path and head to Mackenzie Hall and Ambassador Golf Club. Take a break from Windsor with a short trip to Bois Blanc Island Lighthouse & Blockhouse in Amherstburg, about 32 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: tee off at Seven Lakes Championship Golf, stroll around Reaume Park, don't miss a visit to Sandwich First Baptist Church, and look for all kinds of wild species at Peche Island.

You'll lose 3 hours traveling from Vancouver to Windsor due to the time zone difference. Essex is a town with a population of 20,427 in Essex County in southwestern Ontario, Canada, whose municipal borders extend to Lake Erie. You'll discover tucked-away gems like John R. Park Homestead & Conservation Area and Park House Museum. Escape the urban bustle at Kingsville Golf & Country Club and Holiday Beach Conservation Area.
